There are many ways to get involved in providing affordable housing in Washington County. Giving of your time and energy to work side-by-side with volunteers from around the area can be a very rewarding experience - while helping a partner family realize their dream of owning a home.

A new Habitat for Humanity Washington County store selling closeout new building materials, donated materials, and slightly used materials including doors, windows, plumbing, cabinets, hardware, wooden moldings, toilets, sinks, lighting fixtures, paint, ceramic tile, flooring, and much more is now open for business. Located just east of the intersection of Main Street & Chestnut Street, it is the retail arm of the ministry of Habitat for Humanity of Washington County.

Wednesday 10 am – 6 pm
Thursday 10 am – 6 pm
Friday 10 am – 6 pm
Saturday 8 am – 4 pm 

Proceeds from the ReStore help provide simple, decent housing to low-income families in Washington County, while reducing the volume of waste in local landfills and offering “A Second Chance for Building Materials.”

The Habitat ReStore accepts new and used building-related materials from contractors, suppliers, individuals, remodelers, and property managers. Some materials are used directly in the construction of Habitat homes, but most are offered to the general public to purchase at reduced prices. Want to donate?

Not on the list? Please call 262-334-1801 and ask! Donations are accepted during ReStore business hours.

Habitat reserves the right to determine if items are appropriate for sale.

 

 

Volunteer at the ReStore

Habitat for Humanity of Washington County is looking for volunteers to help staff the ReStore. Volunteer opportunities include:

      Sales/Cashier            Stocking Shelves
      Material Pick-up        Receiving/Pricing

Volunteer hours in 4-hour segments:

Wednesday 10-2  or  2-6
Thursday 10-2  or  2-6
Friday 10-2  or  2-6
Saturday 8-12  or  12-4
