A Hand Up, Not A Handout.
Habitat for Humanity of Washington County, is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry, building simple, quality, affordable homes in partnership with the community and those in need.
Habitat for Humanity of Washington County, WI brings families in need and the community together with volunteers and resources to build decent, affordable houses. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individuals, churches, foundations and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat homes. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their no interest mortgage payments go into a revolving fund to build future Habitat homes.
